Battery Act

Some of the goods we sell (quartz and electric watches) contain batteries. These batteries contain toxic heavy metals. Disposal with household waste is strictly prohibited.

In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators or with the delivery of devices which contain batteries and accumulators, according to battery regulations we are obligated as a dealer to point out the following:

The disposal of accumulators and batteries in household waste is prohibited! According to the Battery Ordinance, you are obliged as a consumer to return used batteries and accumulators to the distributor or to the collection points set up for this purpose by the public waste disposal authorities.

Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste container and the chemical symbol of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing pollutants:

  1. Cd for cadmium
  2. Pb for lead
  3. Hg for mercury
